Eggnog Pound Cake


3 cups flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp freshly ground nutmeg

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup butter, softened

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1 1/4 cup full fat eggnog




Preheat oven to 350 F

Flour TWO loaf pans (mine are 9″)

In a small bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg

In your stand mixer, cream the butter until smooth and then add the sugar and mix until blended.

Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla.

Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients followed by a bit of the eggnog. Alternate until ingredients are combined.

Bake 50-55 minutes or until a knife/toothpick comes out clean

Cool in pan on a wire rack
